URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Juneau AK 121 AM AKDT Thu Mar 26 2026 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM AKDT THURSDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. * WHERE...Prince of Wales Island. * WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Several waves of precipitation expected with one wave early Thursday morning, and another midday Thursday. Highest accumulations will be on the south side of the island and on the inland higher elevations of the road system. Afternoon temperatures near the coasts could reach the mid to upper 30s Thursday afternoon limiting snow accumulation but inland areas could stay cold. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. People are urged to prepare their property before the onset of winter weather.
