URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Mobile AL 1130 AM CDT Fri Mar 27 2026 ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE SATURDAY... ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM CDT SATURDAY FOR INTERIOR SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI, SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL ALABAMA, AND THE WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE... The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM CDT Saturday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 051, 052, 053, 054, 055, 056, 057, 058, 059, 060, 067, 075, 076, 078, 079, 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 261, 262, 263, 264, 265 and 266. * WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
