Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 530 PM EDT Wed Apr 8 2026 ...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER POTENTIAL THURSDAY FOR MUCH OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND... Gusty south winds are expected Thursday, with speed up to 25 mph. Still dry, with minimum relative humidity values between 15 to 25 percent. When combined with the lack of recent significant rainfall and exposed fine fuels and leaf litter, elevated fire weather potential will exist Thursday.
