This Flood Warning addresses the high water levels affecting the Cheboygan River UPSTREAM of the Cheboygan Dam. ...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM EDT SUNDAY APRIL 19TH... * WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues. * WHERE...Areas in Emmet and Cheboygan counties within the Cheboygan River basin UPSTREAM of the Cheboygan Dam. This includes the Maple River, Crooked Lake, Crooked River, Burt Lake, Indian River, Mullet Lake, and the Sturgeon River. * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT Sunday April 19th, or when water levels recede. * IMPACTS...Flooding is occurring. Roads and structures near lakes and rivers will continue to see water rises due to recent rainfall and snowmelt. Additional rainfall is anticipated through the remainder of the week, which can lead to further water rises * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 224 AM EDT, flooding and areas of high water remain across the basin. - Some locations that may experience flooding issues include...
