URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 804 PM EDT Sun Apr 19 2026 ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST GEORGIA... ...RED FLAG WARNING FOR TODAY HAS EXPIRED... * Affected Area...Northeast Georgia. * Timing...Noon to 8PM Monday. * Winds...Northwest at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph are possible along the ridgelines and peaks in northeast Georgia. * Relative Humidity...25 to 30 percent. * Temperatures...Between 70 to 75 degrees, and between 60 to 65 degrees for portions of northeast Georgia at elevation. * Impacts...With elevated winds and low relative humidity, extremely dangerous fire weather conditions are possible. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This watch includes the Chattahoochee National Forests.
