Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio TX 949 PM CDT Tue May 19 2026 ...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northern Kinney, northwestern Uvalde, southwestern Edwards, southeastern Val Verde and southwestern Real Counties through 1030 PM CDT... At 949 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles north of Vance to 6 miles north of Long Point. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Del Rio, Comstock, Camp Wood, Lake View, Barksdale, Vance, Laughlin AFB, Alamo Village, Carta Valley, Cienegas Terrace, Amistad Village, Black Brush Point, Rio Frio, Amanda, Montell, Garner State Park, Val Verde Park, Standart, Diablo East, and Governors Landing.
