Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 1000 PM CDT Tue May 19 2026 ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CAMERON...SOUTHERN BEAUREGARD...CALCASIEU AND SOUTHWESTERN ALLEN PARISHES...EASTERN JEFFERSON...SOUTHWESTERN NEWTON...ORANGE AND SOUTHEASTERN JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT... At 959 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near De Quincy to West Orange. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Beaumont, Port Arthur, Sulphur, Orange, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Vidor, Bridge City, Westlake, West Orange, Vinton, Reeves, Singer, Deweyville, Moss Bluff, Central Gardens, Sabine Pass, De Quincy, and Ragley. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 846. Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 27. Interstate 210 near mile marker 1.
