Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Fort Worth TX Issued by National Weather Service Shreveport LA 243 AM CDT Sat May 23 2026 ...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northeastern Denton, eastern Cooke, Grayson and central Fannin Counties through 345 AM CDT... At 243 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles east of Thackerville to Whitesboro to near Collinsville to near Celina. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Gunter, Dorchester, southern Lake Texoma, and Lake Texoma around 250 AM CDT. Sherman, Howe, and Pottsboro around 255 AM CDT. Van Alstyne and Knollwood around 300 AM CDT. Denison and Eisenhower State Park around 305 AM CDT. Tom Bean and Randell Lake around 310 AM CDT. Bells around 315 AM CDT. Whitewright, Savoy, and Valley Lake around 320 AM CDT. Ector around 330 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Cannon, Preston, Telephone, Tioga, Ida, Ivanhoe, Sadler, Elmont, Cotton Center, and Locust.
