Flood Advisory National Weather Service Chicago IL 1239 AM CDT Tue Jun 9 2026 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following county, Cook. * WHEN...Until 230 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1237 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen over the past few hours in portions of the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch, locally higher, are expected over the area. Runoff from the rain that has fallen and the additional rainfall will result in flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
