URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA 1104 AM PDT Wed Jun 24 2026 ...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Unseasonably hot conditions with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s possible in Downtown Los Angeles and upper 70s in Inglewood area. * WHERE...Los Angeles County Inland Coast including Downtown Los Angeles. * WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive populations including the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Higher humidity will have the potential to add to the heat discomfort. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
