URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 149 AM MDT Sat Jun 27 2026 ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT SUNDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 489, 494, AND 498... * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 489 San Rafael Swell, Fire Weather Zone 494 Henry Mountains and Fire Weather Zone 498 Grand Staircase. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph. Gusts will be as high as 50 mph this afternoon and evening, and remain as high as 40 mph Sunday afternoon and evening. Winds will decrease but remain elevated tonight. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 5 to 10 percent each afternoon and evening. Overnight recovery remain poor tonight. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
