URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Cleveland OH 1012 AM EDT Tue Jun 30 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 107 expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. The prolonged nature of the heat event with little overnight relief through the week will increase impacts to vulnerable populations. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
