URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Gaylord MI 1120 AM EDT Tue Jun 30 2026 ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Heat index values between 95 and 104 expected. * WHERE...Portions of Eastern Upper and Northern Lower Michigan. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although mid-week temperatures are dependent on thunderstorm development, prolonged high humidity and limited overnight cooling will lead to compounding heat stress throughout the week. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
