URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Cleveland OH 254 AM EDT Wed Jul 1 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 108 expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. A prolonged period of dangerously hot and humid conditions with little overnight relief is expected through the week, which will increase impacts to vulnerable populations. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
