URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 246 PM EDT Wed Jul 1 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 98 to 115 degrees expected. The worst of this heat and humidity will be Thursday and Friday. * WHERE...All of southern New England except the Cape and Islands. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This is a prolonged and dangerous heatwave with little relief at night.
