URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ 924 PM MST Thu Jul 9 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MST /NOON MDT/ SATURDAY TO 8 PM MST /9 PM MDT/ SUNDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions, with temperatures of 105 to 110 degrees expected. * WHERE...Marble and Glen Canyons, including Page and Lake Powell. * WHEN...From 11 AM MST /noon MDT/ Saturday to 8 PM MST /9 PM MDT/ Sunday. * IMPACTS...Most individuals will be at risk for heat-related illnesses without effective cooling or adequate hydration, especially with prolonged outdoor exposure. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.
