URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Grand Junction CO 1033 AM MDT Fri Jul 10 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON SATURDAY TO MIDNIGHT MDT MONDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with afternoon temperatures as high as 100 to 106 expected. * WHERE...In Colorado, Central Yampa River Basin, Lower Yampa River Basin, Debeque to Silt Corridor, and Grand Valley. In Utah, Arches/Grand Flat and Eastern Uinta Basin. * WHEN...From noon Saturday to midnight MDT Monday Night. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
