URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA 146 AM PDT Sun Jul 12 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 95 to 110 away from the coast, and 85 to 95 near the coast possible. * WHERE...A portion of southwest California. * WHEN...From Tuesday morning through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...There is a high risk for dangerous heat illness for anyone, especially for the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Monsoonal moisture will add to the discomfort level next week. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
