URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Gaylord MI 231 AM EDT Mon Jul 13 2026 ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 AM EDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Actual temperatures of 90 to 95 degrees expected. Heat index values between 97 and 103 expected. Overnight temperatures Monday night will struggle to get below 75 degrees. The hottest conditions are expected away from the immediate lakeshores. * WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan. * WHEN...From noon today to 8 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
