Air Quality Alert Message Relayed by National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 618 AM EDT Thu Jul 16 2026 ...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT... The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Alert for Fine Particulates, until midnight EDT tonight. An Air Quality Alert day means that Fine Particulates concentrations within the region may approach or exceed levels that are Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups. Air is unhealthy for sensitive children and adults, such as those with asthma, lung or heart disease, and older adults. Sensitive children and adults should limit prolonged outdoor activity.
