URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Flood Watch National Weather Service New York NY 951 AM EDT Tue Jul 21 2026 ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following areas, Northern Fairfield, Northern New Haven and Southern Fairfield and southeast New York, including the following areas, Northern Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Southern Westchester. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected this morning into tonight. Averaged rainfall totals will be between 1 and 2 inches, with localized swaths of 3 to 4 inches possible.
