Essex County in east central Virginia... Northwestern King and Queen County in east central Virginia... Northwestern King William County in east central Virginia... Richmond County in east central Virginia... Northwestern Lancaster County in eastern Virginia... Central Northumberland County in eastern Virginia... * Until 315 AM EDT. * At 1211 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar.
