Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service San Francisco CA 512 AM PDT Fri Jul 24 2026 ...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Long period SW swell will bring an increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip currents. Breaking waves will reach up to 10 feet along some south and southwest facing beaches and break points. * WHERE...Beaches along the Pacific Coast. * WHEN...From Saturday morning through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Dangerous conditions are forecast along the shoreline. Hazards include sneaker waves, strong rip currents, and large breaking waves. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This swell is being generated by Hurricane Fausto in the tropical Eastern Pacific. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay off of jetties, piers, rocks, and other waterside infrastructure. Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous surf and NEVER turn your back on the ocean.
