URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Paducah KY 746 PM CDT Sat Jul 25 2026 ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SUNDAY TO 7 PM CDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Heat index values up to 110, with locally greater values. * WHERE...All of southeast Missouri, and neighboring portions of southwest Illinois and far western Kentucky. * WHEN...From 11 AM Sunday to 7 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Advisory is in effect along and west of a line from Mount Vernon, Illinois, to Murray, Kentucky. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
