Northwestern Otero County in south central New Mexico... * Until 1030 PM MDT. * At 639 PM MDT, Earlier thunderstorms which produced heavy rain around Bent and Nogal Canyon sent significant runoff into Tularosa Creek. The stream gauge below Bent recently crested at 5.5 feet, or 713 cfs. This will likely result in flooding downstream, mostly within the flood plain, but inundating several low water crossings.
