West Central Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... * Until 1145 PM MDT. * At 833 PM MDT, Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall have affected a broad swath of rural southwestern Dona Ana County. Another round of thunderstorms is moving through, which may push 3 hour rainfall amounts over 3 inches in places. Considerable flooding is likely to occur on back roads north and south of Interstate 10, west of the Border Patrol Checkpoint, and east of the Luna County line. This includes County Highway C-001, and possibly the I-10 frontage roads in the vicinity of Exit 116. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar.
