URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA 1204 PM PDT Sun Aug 2 2026 ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Very warm daytime conditions with high temperatures between 95 and 105 common, except 80 and 90 common at the coast. Warm overnight conditions will bring less relief than usual. * WHERE...Los Angeles County Beaches, Ventura County Coast, Santa Barbara County South Coast, Santa Lucia Mountains, Santa Ynez Valley, and the Northern Ventura County Mountains. * WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive groups like the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heat hazards may extend into next week for portions of the region. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
