URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Charleston SC 735 PM EDT Fri Aug 14 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM EDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 115. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina. * WHEN...From 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest heat index values are expected from noon through 5 PM Saturday. Additionally, isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon could provide relief in some areas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
