URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC 134 PM EDT Sat Aug 15 2026 ...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM EDT SUNDAY... ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...For both Heat Advisories, heat index values up to 107 expected. * WHERE...Most of northeast Georgia, the Charlotte Metro Area, and Upstate South Carolina. * WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from noon to 8 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
