Special Weather Statement National Weather Service New York NY 357 AM EDT Fri Aug 28 2026 ...PATCHY DENSE FOG THROUGH 10 AM THIS MORNING... .WHERE... New York City, Long Island, parts of the Lower Hudson Valley, and southern Connecticut. .IMPACTS... Areas of fog will lead to visibilities below one mile. Fog may become locally dense, leading to visibilities of a quarter mile or less. This will coincide will the time of the Friday morning commute. .PRECAUTIONS... Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities and should use caution if traveling. Slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
