Flood Watch National Weather Service New York NY 207 AM EDT Sun Sep 13 2026 ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following areas, Northern Middlesex, Northern New London, Southern Fairfield, Southern Middlesex, Southern New Haven and Southern New London and southeast New York, including the following areas, Northeast Suffolk, Northern Nassau, Northwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Southern Nassau and Southwest Suffolk. * WHEN...From 6 AM this morning to 2 PM EDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding in poor drainage areas, rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers with heavy downpours and a few thunderstorms early Sunday morning into midday Sunday may lead to flooding. Average rainfall amounts are forecast to range from 1.5 to 2.5 inches with locally higher amounts of 3 to 5 inches possible.
