URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Flood Watch National Weather Service Phoenix AZ 1245 AM MST Wed Sep 16 2026 ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall will be possible. * WHERE...A portion of south central Arizona, including all of Maricopa County, Northern and Western Pinal County, and Southern Gila County. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, normally dry washes, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The combination of abundant moisture and a weather system moving into the region will support rounds of showers and thunderstorms today through this evening. Moderate to heavy rainfall with rainfall rates in excess of 1-2 inches per hour is expected with most storms.
