Flood Watch National Weather Service Phoenix AZ 439 PM MST Mon Sep 28 2026 ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT MST TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...South central Arizona, including the following areas, Maricopa, northern Pinal, and southern Gila counties inclusing the Phoenix metropolitan area. * WHEN...From midnight MST tonight through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The combination of tropical moisture and a strong weather disturbance will result in showers and thunderstorms capable of producing localized heavy rainfall. Moderate to heavy rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour are expected.
