URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service San Diego CA 859 PM PDT Thu Oct 1 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM FRIDAY TO 8 PM PDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures in the upper 90s to 106 expected. Nights will be very warm with low temperatures mostly in the upper 60s to mid 70s. * WHERE...San Diego County Valleys. * WHEN...From 10 AM Friday to 8 PM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
