Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN 249 AM CDT Sat Oct 10 2026 ...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA... Near record high temperatures today will bring relative humidity values down into the 30 to 40 percent range today. This combined with wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph will create elevated fire weather conditions today. This could lead to rapid spread of fires, especially in agricultural areas where crops have become drier for harvest. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning. For more information on burning restrictions for Minnesota, see www.dnr.state.mn.us/forestry/fire/firerating_restrictions.html.
