URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Anchorage AK 259 PM AKST Fri Jan 11 2019 ...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills occurring. Wind chills continue to range from 40 below to 55 below zero. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta. * WHEN...Until noon AKST Saturday. Temperatures will slowly warm Saturday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
