Northwestern Sarpy County in east central Nebraska... Southwestern Douglas County in east central Nebraska... Northeastern Saunders County in east central Nebraska... * Until 730 AM CDT Friday. * At 113 AM CDT, the Platte River continues to run very high and very fast with moderate flooding ongoing. Stay away from the area. Flash flooding could occur if any ice jams develop. Water levels were reported about 1 foot from the top of Union Dike earlier in the night. It is much harder to recognize a flash flood at night. * Some locations that could experience flooding include... Leshara and Two Rivers State Recreation Area and rural areas along the Platte River. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
