URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Marquette MI 421 AM EDT Fri Mar 15 2019 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Lake enhanced snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to 5 inches. The greatest amounts will be in the Porcupine Mountains and the higher terrain from Twin Lakes to Delaware. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of central Upper and western Upper Michigan. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ this evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory for lake effect snow means lake effect snow is forecast that will make travel difficult in some areas. Use caution when traveling.
