URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Wichita KS 1037 AM CDT Thu Oct 10 2019 ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT FRIDAY... ...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM CDT FRIDAY... * Temperatures...Falling into the mid 40s. * Winds...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * Timing...Freezing temperatures expected overnight tonight through mid morning Friday. Strong winds can be expected today through Friday morning. * Impacts...Sensitive vegetation may be killed or damaged if not protected or brought indoors. Northwesterly cross winds along roadways may make driving difficult. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. A wind advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph and/or wind gusts over 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
