URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Juneau AK 159 PM AKST Fri Nov 8 2019 ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM SATURDAY TO MIDNIGHT AKST SATURDAY NIGHT FOR THE CENTRAL INNER CHANNELS... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. * WHERE...Central inner channels including the cities of Angoon, Kake, Petersburg and Wrangell. * WHEN...From 3 AM Saturday to midnight AKST Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Heavy, wet snow will be difficult to manage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain will change to snow from north to south on Saturday morning and become heavy at times through the afternoon hours. Some freezing rain may mix in at times leading to some small ice accumulations on trees and power lines. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
