URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 311 AM AKST Thu Nov 14 2019 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow reducing the visibility to one half mile or less at times. * WHERE...Deltana and Tanana Flats. * WHEN...Noon Wednesday to 6 AM Friday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds and blowing snow will develop during this evening, with the strongest gusts expected north of Fairbanks. Snowfall will begin Thursday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods of snow and blowing snow will cause travel difficulties.
