URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 222 PM AKST Thu Nov 14 2019 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT AKST FRIDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow occurring. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow reducing the visibility to one half mile or less at times. * WHERE...Central Interior. * WHEN...Until midnight Friday night. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected along the Elliott Highway. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow means severe winter weather conditions are occurring. This will make travel very difficult or impossible.
