URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Anchorage AK Issued by National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 344 AM AKDT Thu Mar 26 2020 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 7 AM AKDT SATURDAY FOR THE KUSKOKWIM DELTA... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph, strongest along the coast. Visibilities will be reduced to one half mile or less at times. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to 7 AM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...A winter weather advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling, especially in open areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Two rounds of snow are expected as the first front will bring a shot of moderate to heavy snow late Thursday evening through Thursday night. A brief break will develop during the day Friday with the next shot of accumulating snow Friday evening through Saturday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. Travel may be difficult. Visibilities will be limited in falling and blowing snow.
